Vehicle inspections in Wagga Wagga

We’ll take care of getting your eSafety check done in Wagga Wagga. If your car is older than five years and you need to register it in NSW, it must pass an annual roadworthy test (unless otherwise specified on your registration papers). This is where your vehicle undergoes a brake efficiency test and a general safety inspection. Once the vehicle passes, a pink slip is generated and electronically sent directly to the RMS.

Here's how it works

  • About thirty days before your vehicle’s registration is due for renewal the RMS will send your registration papers via mail.
  •  A safety inspection, or pink slip, is then required if the vehicle is five years of age or older.
  • A compulsory third party green slip (CTP) is also required before the vehicle registration can be renewed.
  • These can be purchased either online, over the phone, or in store from companies such as NRMA, GIO, QBE, Allianz, or AAMI.
  • Once you have your CTP green slip & eSafety Check completed, your vehicle can be registered.
  • This can be done either in store at your local RMS, over the phone, or online here. If your vehicle is comprehensively insured, ensure this is kept up to date.
  • Comprehensive insurance is not a requirement for NSW registration, but ensures your vehicle will be repaired or replaced in the event of an accident.
  • After your vehicle has passed the vehicle safety check, we will electronically send a report to NSW Roads and Maritime Services which allows you to renew your registration online or by phone.
